Janene was born in Kelowna, Canada. Growing up she was always a well-rounded athlete having participated in a wide range of sports & dance. But her main focus was competitive horseback riding where she competed at a national level in show jumping and three day eventing. She shifted her focus from the competitive horse circuit to attend college in Victoria BC, where she studied Biology and English. She also became a personal trainer, fitness model and began to dabble in mixed martial arts. She transitioned into her career as a stunt woman by 2005 and since has doubled some of Hollywood's hottest stars including Angelina Jolie, Jessica Biel, Carla Gugino and Ashley Judd. A few of the blockbuster films she has worked on include Salt, Watchmen, Twilight Breaking Dawn and Xmen 3. A highlight in Janene's career was being recognized by her peers in 2011, winning a World Taurus Stunt Award for her action in Salt.
